Seide ist ein besonders feines, glattes Material, das auf der Haut einen natürlichen Schutz bildet.

Durch ihre weiche Oberfläche reibt sie nicht an der Haut, wodurch Irritationen und Rötungen reduziert werden. Besonders bei empfindlicher Haut oder Hautproblemen wie Ekzemen kann Seide helfen, den Juckreiz zu lindern und die Haut zu beruhigen. Ausserdem speichert Seide Feuchtigkeit und verhindert so das Austrocknen der Haut.

Wer regelmässig auf Seidenkissenbezügen schläft, profitiert oft von weniger Hautunreinheiten, da die Seide weniger Bakterien und Schmutz aufnimmt als herkömmliche Baumwolle.

Silk for skin health

Fibroin, a major protein in mulberry silk, supports skin healing, has anti-
inflammatory properties, and promotes the regeneration of new skin cells. Studies
show that fibroin accelerates wound healing and strengthens the skin barrier.
At the same time, it can reduce redness and irritation, leading to visibly
healthier skin (Source: PMC, PubMed Central).

Fibroin protects and strengthens

Mulberry silk (Bombyx mori) contains fibroin and sericin,
which support the skin and hair. Fibroin strengthens the skin barrier, binds water
and promotes hydration, thereby reducing the formation of wrinkles. Sericin
has antioxidant and antibacterial properties, moisturizes, and protects against
UV damage. For the hair, both proteins form a protective film,
