Seide ist ein besonders feines, glattes Material, das auf der Haut einen natürlichen Schutz bildet.

Durch ihre weiche Oberfläche reibt sie nicht an der Haut, wodurch Irritationen und Rötungen reduziert werden. Besonders bei empfindlicher Haut oder Hautproblemen wie Ekzemen kann Seide helfen, den Juckreiz zu lindern und die Haut zu beruhigen. Ausserdem speichert Seide Feuchtigkeit und verhindert so das Austrocknen der Haut.

Wer regelmässig auf Seidenkissenbezügen schläft, profitiert oft von weniger Hautunreinheiten, da die Seide weniger Bakterien und Schmutz aufnimmt als herkömmliche Baumwolle.
